As luxury car manufacturers create ever more complex vehicles in which electrical systems communicate constantly with each other, the process of fault finding without the support of sophisticated equipment and access to manufacturer’s technical information is impossible.
At Kartechnic we have invested heavily in state of the art diagnostic equipment and have access to technical information for all major vehicle manufacturers this helps us to provide fast efficient error free fault location. As a result of this we carry out diagnostic work for many local garages and car sales outlets. Unlike other garages if we cannot correctly diagnose your fault we will not charge for our labour.
Diagnostic charges
Diagnostic work can be difficult to quote for due to the complex nature of fault finding, but at Kartechnic we aim to provide a clear charge out policy for our advanced vehicle diagnosis.
- Preliminary checks including reading and interpreting vehicle fault code memory (upto and including 1 hour’s labour) £48.00 (inc VAT)
- After the fist hour and If the fault is of a complex nature requiring further diagnostic work, we will discuss our progress with you at this point, and subsequently move to an hourly diagnostic charge of £65.00 per hour (inc VAT) during this time will continue to liaise with you to allowing you to maintain control of charges by the hour. (In our experience over 90% of faults can be diagnosed within two hours)
Advanced diagnostic testing and fault finding
